Blood on Snow by Jo Nesbø

“What loneliness is more lonely than distrust?”

Blood On Snow by Jo Nesbo is the story about Olav, a hitman who is a “fixer” and has been given the job to kill his boss’s wife.

This is a fast paced crime thriller. Here we have our “fixer” Olav, an intriguing character with a dark sense of humour and a sucker for love. Initially I thought there would be a lot of violence in the story which there is however there is a strange love story as well. Instantly I liked Olav’s character and how he speaks to the reader about his life and that aspect is what kept me reading. There were parts of the story where I felt it was a bit far fetched and wished there was more about his confrontations with his victims but I still read on and by the time I finished it I did like it. It’s a quick crime thriller with an interesting character with exposure to his unusual career which leads him to unexpected paths.
