An incredibly candid powerful look at the life of a Japanese comfort woman. This book did not shy away from the darkest bits of history, from the Nanjing massacres to the realities of the Japanese vs Korean conflicts and how comfort women came to be. It is informative in an accessible way that doesn't undermine the serious trauma the individuals involved endured. Absolutely a must read for anyone prepared to face some raw realities of history, supported by raw emotive artwork.
