Sleeping Beauties by Owen King, Stephen King
3.0

This novel kept me reading however I did not like it as much as his time travel novel. The premise was really interesting. All the women in the world got into a cocoon like state once they fall asleep. If someone tries to remove the cocoon they become very violent and will kill adults. They then go right back to sleep. There were some fantasy elements to this but overall I found the book to really explore the role men and women have in society. There were many horror aspects and honestly this was a little too long. I felt like it would still have been a good book if it was shorter. Plus there were so many characters that at times it was just too much. Not a bad book but I expected a little more.
