This story definitely pulls on your heartstrings as we see Lindsay deal with domestic violence. She has lived with it for years and been in denial about exactly what has been happening for years but is reaching a breaking point. When she gets to come visit her sister, Jessie, without her husband for an extended period of time things start to change a little bit. She gets to see a different side to herself that she hasn’t seen for years. This story could trigger people with the domestic violence and abuse that takes place. I thought that the topic was handled well and takes on some of the questions of why the victim stays. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to more in this series.
