The Gentleman's Guide to Getting Lucky by Mackenzi Lee

(I wish my life could be narrated by Christian Coulson).

I'm usually not a big fan of novellas but I am definitely a huge admirer of Monty and I was so excited for this to be published! I waited over a week for the audiobook to be available on Storytel because Christian Coulson is life, his Monty is life and if you've never listened to the Gentlemen's books on audio you should definitely give them a try because they. are. the bomb.

This book has everything I was expecting from a novella, it was nice, sweet and fun and gave us a bit more time with Monty and Percy. Before listening to it, I was actually fearing that the author had actually wrote a sex scene between them and turned the whole thing into bad fanfiction, but she did not and I'm so sorry for having thought otherwise. What she did was give us an insight into every person's fears and insecurities while dealing with first love and first times.
What I loved the most was the ending, and the conversation between Monty and Scipio. I am so happy that Monty could finally drop this weight that has been on his shoulders forever and be himself without having to fear someone else's (his father's in particular) reaction to his sexuality. He deserves to be loved and accepted for who he is, and I'm so glad he found a father figure in Scipio.
