I absolutely loved this. I'm only docking it a quarter of a star because I didn't love the explanation at the end of why Evelyn chose Monique, I didn't hate it, I just felt it was unnecessary and the book was strong enough not to need a "twist".
I found this book incredibly moving and I adored the multiple complex characters and relationships.
This isn't at all my usual genre and I didn't expect to care much about it but it's one of my highest rated books in the last year.
I thoroughly recommend the audiobook read by Alma Cuervo, Julia Whelan and Robin Miles.
