Unfortunately this series is not panning out the way I was hoping. I liked this one less than the first & I don’t think I’ll continue the series. I was hoping to dive further into the lore of the Four Horsemen & that there was a larger fantasy-type plot that would unravel, but this feels like the exact same thing as book 1 was copy/pasted onto different characters. I wasn’t a big fan of the characterization or relationships, either, it all felt pretty forced. :(
