It's not exactly high level literature, but it's pretty decent. For a romance novel, it seems to lean much more heavily towards the suspense/thriller end of the spectrum. It's fairly well paced except that the end feels a little rushed in my opinion. That said, I learned a little bit about wilderness survival and bear attacks from reading the book. It's certainly not my favorite book in the world but there are definitely worse ways to spend a Saturday.
