R.F. Kuang can WRITE, my god. This was so interestingly written. The main character is in constant conversation with herself/the reader, she often speaks to you directly without it being bothersome. This made for such an interesting dynamic, because the whole book you just want to yell "oh girl, NOOOOOO" to her. I think this really is a timepiece, especially the whole social media/cancel culture part.
