How to Deceive a Duke told the story of Fiona, a strong and independent young woman in the 1800's who went against the norm. She stood out in the crowd and had an intelligence that, back then, was to remain hidden; when women were meant to plan parties and shop and stay in the background.

Fiona was very much so in the foreground trying to make an impression on society and improve the life of others as well as provide for herself.

This is a the second novel in a series, but can also be read as a stand alone.  I was first introduced to Samara Parish through a goodreads giveaway for her debut novel, How To Survive a Scandal, and have since fallen in love with the world she has created! I'm looking forward to the next story in the series!!
