Applied Electromagnetism by Susannah Nix
This is the second time I've read this book, and I still love it. This is my favorite book from this series so far. I absolutely loved a female heroine with adult ADHD and the explanation of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. I feel like not many people understand RSD and especially what it is like as a woman in the workplace with ADHD and RSD. It was wonderful to be seen in this story.

“She wouldn’t be able to deal with another rejection. Her soul would probably depart her body, leaving the empty husk of her earthly vessel behind to crumble into dust, and it didn’t seem fair to make the janitorial staff clean that up.”

There is also a heavy dose of what it's like to be a woman in an industry that typically employs men. Adam is a rare gem that listens to Olivia and sees how the patriarchy is the devil.

One of my favorite quotes from the book is:
“I didn’t break the system,” she said through clenched teeth. “Why should I have to take all the risks to fix it?” Her jaw was aching from all the clenching.

Olivia and Adam are absolutely wonderful. I loved all of Olivia's colorful curses. I love me a book with interesting swears! And the Marco Polo theme was so sweet.
