A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn

It only took me two years and a quarantine to get through it, but I made it!! This book is a stunning description of little-told stories hiding in our country’s history. It doesn’t shy away from painting our failures with very clear strokes, and is a good reminder of all that needs fixing in this nation. It is so full of details that it takes forever to read (coming from a notoriously quick reader), but it’s worth the journey.
