Even though I’ve read the actual novel and seen the show a million times, the scripts behind the show display a whole new perspective and meaning. I actually found myself disliking Connell through the dialogue, very different from my feelings in the novel and especially the show. I think the writers, directors, and cast did a great job of bringing the story to life and electrifying very simple dialogue at times to tell serious life lessons. It’s really a beautiful story of two people who continuously hurt each other but will only ever love each other. And even though the love may be eternal, so is the pain and timing is never on their side, maybe for the best.
