Briefly, A Delicious Life by Nell Stevens
4.25

i spent many years of my childhood learning to play chopin on the piano so it was very weird to learn so much about his personal life in this book! like tmi frederic…but overall i really liked this book and especially spending time in blanca’s head. it’s such a strange concept for a story but the vivid descriptions and the force of blanca’s personality really carried me through, even when the second half began to drag a little bit. she’s such a fun narrator and i loved seeing all the mundanities of life through her eyes, and also hearing about the village scandals and her various tiny revenge schemes. also don’t know how i had never heard of george sand before this and i feel like i definitely need to learn more about her!!
