It was actually SO refreshing reading a rom-com where the female protagonist unapologetically aspires for a romantic relationship and expresses vulnerability when she is unable to obtain one. It's also refreshing reading about a protagonist who is a virgin by choice and still sex positive about her celibacy. I also loved the messages of how to love yourself and self-forgiveness. I did find the large cast a bit overwhelming at times, especially when my focus wasn't fully on the book. But this was a fantastic and unique divergence from the rom-coms I've been reading this summer that I truly enjoyed!
