Serious Moonlight follows one night standers Birdie and Daniel as they work the night shift at a hotel. Birdie loves a good mystery, either reading about them or solving them herself while Daniel is a great carpenter and magician. A mystery brews where a famous author never seen before by anyone checks in to the hotel they work at every Tuesday night.
Jenn Bennett has a great eye for detail. All her characters are so unique and well developed in their own way making this book a great balanced read. I absolutely love the unique settings and plotlines that we also see. For instance, I want to now attend a date that is inspired by Clue the game set in a mansion complimented with dinner! I want to live in a run down cinema my parents left for me!
Some themes to beware of however are as follows:
1. Suicide
2. Attempted Suicide
3. Cataplexy
4. Pregnancy Problems
5. Death of a Parent/Loved One
