Their Lost Souls (Agent Tori Hunter #6)
by Roger Stelljes

Recently I was able to download the audiobook ARC of the first book in this series. I could also download the ebook ARC of the last book (#7) in this series but that last book published soon after I'd be downloading it. No way would I read the last book without reading all the other books after the first audiobook because my brain would explode if I tried to skip books. So I wasn't going to do it. But I enjoyed the first book so much and I could get books #2 - 6 through Kindle Unlimited, plus I'm on pins and needles waiting for another surgery date so I'm kind of useless around the house anyway...so why not a crime thriller book binge for a series with high ratings?! I love a good excuse to do what I wanted to do anyway...ha ha

This series is tough on the heart. It's also hard if you are queasy about gruesome things because it's full of all kinds of gruesome. I'm thinking that where Tori Hunter goes be sure to not wear your good shoes because there's going to be blood and guts. But really, the hard part is that innocent people get hurt by horrible people and they keep on doing it.

Tori had already been suffering from her past, the loss of her sister and the loss of her dad. She stuffed all of that down and made a career for herself with the FBI but now she's been back to her hometown for a while, having retired from the FBI to teach and help out her Sheriff Detective boyfriend when his job calls for her expertise. Is it all getting too much for Tori? She's not sleeping, she's always thinking about all that has happened, she feels guilt even when she's not responsible for what has happened. I've gotten so caught up in the series that I'm sad that there is just one more book after this one.
