I didn’t expect to enjoy this story, but to be honest Rhys Larsen may be one of my favourite book boyfriends of 2022.

Bridget and Rhys’ chemistry was so good. I just love it when one of the main characters simply doesn't believe in love and thinks that they will probably never find their soulmate (might or might not be relatable). And the fact that this was combined with the bodyguard/forbidden trope made it even better. While I was probably not fond of the plot twist, I was so invested in the rest.

And the spice? Holy crap, that was amazing. Let’s be honest, he talked about spanking and I was in love.

Anyway, I'm really wondering why this second book is underated compared to the first one. Don’t get me wrong, I like Alex Volkov but Rhys Larsen is and will probably remain my favourite MMC in this series.
