I enjoyed this so much more than I expected to. I loved the historical detail and enjoyed the art. I did feel it was a little rushed at times, though, which did mean I didn't get the chance to fully invest (emotionally) in the characters, especially Virginia. Still, I would recommend the book, especially to art lovers and those interested in the history of Manhattan.
