katkinney 's review for:
Eliza and Her Monsters
by Francesca Zappia
This was a great fandom-y look at Eliza, who has written a comic so huge it has millions of followers, and is now simultaneously her entire life, the one thing she loves, and stressing her out, and Wallace, a fanfiction writer who is one of her most devoted fans. He gets transferred to her school, they meet, and when he realizes they have an interest in the same comic, she pretends to be just another fan.
Eliza and Wallace are adorkable together in their own way and the puppy dog scenes are kind of great, too ๐ This reminded me a little bit of Fangirl in a good way, as itโs one of my favorites, and now I have another one!
