Books can have ableist characters, but the way this was done, didn't feel like the author was writing an ableist character, it felt like the author themself is ableist. The assumptions on autism in the first chapter alone are offensive and incorrect, and I'm honestly disappointed (though not surprised) that I've only seen a few other reviews mentioning the offensive portrayal of autism in this
