Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan

I found this book pretty difficult to get into, even though it's a very thin book I thought it started off really slow and it took ages for things to actually start happening. It didn't get exciting until page 118 to be exact and the book only has 183 pages. The last bit I read really fast as it did get pretty enjoyable at that point and whereas a the beginning of the book I had decided I wouldn't be reading the other books in the series I changed my mind by the end.
I guess it was just an introduction really to the rest of the series.
It was also definitely written very much for children around the age of 10/11, I think 10 years ago I would have enjoyed it more.
Altogether after a very slow start it didn't get pretty interesting near the end and because of that I will at least try the second book in he series. But first... The Girl Who Played with Fire! :D
