The tone and humor of this book are the highlight. The audiobook was read by the author and I really appreciated her dry wit and biting commentary. Haynes appreciates the fickle gods, the hubris of heroes, and the plight and dignity of the marginalized people that the myths and history dismisses. This book was like Circe meets Fleabag. Highly recommend the audiobook if you can get ahold of it.
