Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

This was my first time actually reading Oliver Twist. It's a hard book to rate though, because while the writing was superb (of course) and I really felt for poor Oliver and wanted things to work out for him. But this was such a contrast from The Pickwick Papers and having just finished that one, I couldn't help but compare the lighter, humorous tone of Pickwick with the darker tone of Oliver.
