Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

4.0

Deliciously clever. Willy Wonka is a quirky, candy inventor who lives by his own rules--the sort of older but child-like adult mentor every child wants. A comical adventure that still contains the magic after reading it twenty years later.

The language is simple, but its originality make it sound sweet and full of joy. It is truly a great escapist read for someone looking for an uplift in their perspective.
