Anything put out by Two Dollar Radio and blurbed by Carmen María Machado automatically piques my interest. I checked this out while waiting for my hold on Ripe - getting a sense of the author's mind and treatment of creative ideas around the dark complexities of womanhood. This book is bleak, thoughtful, direct. I liked how little extra explaining there was in the writing while still being impactful and having distinct imagery. My brand of weird.
