I'm a longtime Minecraft player, and when I heard about the author of Day Z of all things writing a Minecraft novel of all things... yeah I had to check it out, especially after I heard that the premise was an isekai/stranger-in-a-strange-world I just HAD to check it out, and I wasn't disappointed at all. While I think reading the novel is fun (read the first few chapters out loud with friends), I don't think anything beats Jack Black's performance in the unabridged audiobook version. Seriously, it is a ride (potential spoilers)
hearing Jack Black have an existential crisis over a block game. The narrator talking about the healing mechanics of the game (from the perspective of a real creature living in the world) was honestly bordering on psychological/body horror. Seriously, don't think about it too much.

I can't not give this 5 stars I had such a fun time with it. Just keep in mind this book is for children, so it's going to read like a kid's book. Things are pretty plainly spelled out for the reader, especially at the end.
