Açúcar de Melancia
by Richard Brautigan
That was the most bizarre thing I read so far, and trust me, I've been thought a lot of weird books. Hated it and loved it at the same time, have to agree with one of the reviewers, this piece is extremely overrated, but still is a fun book to read. Reading a bit about Brautigan's life and the time and space where the book is placed, we can understand the strange village that he brought on this book. Is an easy reading if we're talking about grammar, but very hard topics discussed as normal ones and you may be kinda shocked (and I hope you are shocked because this proves you're a natural human being). I don't see myself reading this piece again, the themes are pretty strong and I don't have interests in any character, because again, they're described bizarrely. If felt like I read nothing and everything at the same time, I don't know.
