The Flea Palace by Elif Shafak

3.0

I liked Istanbul as the setting of this, with all these interesting apartment tenants as a microcosm of that city. It was a bit hard to follow all the stories at times (10 apartments = 10 stories) and I know that I missed some of the connections the author was making between the different people, past and present. The style of writing was snarky, observant, and smart. I liked it ... but it was all maybe a little too smart for me.
