The Bad Boy Rule was my first read by Maren Moore and while I liked the book, I was still a little disappointed by it. I expected something different I guess. Usually, I'm a sucker for a good fake dating and enemies to lovers romance, but I just couldn't entirely connect with the main protagonists, Lennon and Saint.

The part half of the story was the most difficult for me as I couldn't understand why Saint was such a jerk to Lennon. Even with their backstory, it was just too much. And the way he changed so radically in such a short amount of time wasn't that believable. Anyway, I still liked some of their interactions and I must say that the steamy scenes were really hot. The emotional moments between these two were sweet and lovely too. The supporting characters weren't that present in the book and maybe that's another reason why I struggled at times. I enjoy when it's not all about the couple, but also their entourage.

Anyway, I'll definitely read the next book in the Hellcats Hockey Series or even try Maren Moore's back list novels.
