Described as "lighthearted" yet one of the first characters we're introduced is caring for her terminally ill mother - I'm no expert, but that isn't very "lighthearted" to me.
I also simply can't stand authors who refer to cigarettes as "f*gs". We get it, the book is set in Britain, it became almost a parody within the first few pages.
