I am very stingy nowadays when it comes to giving a book a solid 5 stars, but this book earned every single one of them. I dare say this is one of the best pieces of fiction that I read in 2022. It may be my favorite book of the year.
A wonderfully fresh and stunningly written take on Lucifer's fall. From the dialog to descriptions to the themes within the story, just wonderfully done. I will say it did take a moment for me to wrap my head around the way the prose is written but once I had, it was so lovely. A fascinating take. I cannot recommend this enough and I cannot wait to see what else Rafael has in store for us. I EAGERLY await their next book.
