A though provoking text about the theory behind phasmophobia, suggesting it might often be as a result of childhood experiences and anxiety, Hearns writes as if it is a scientific article, rather than a short story - and the novelty of this way of writing makes an interesting contrast to the other Gothic texts I have read this month.
