The British Knight by Louise Bay
3.0
The British Knight is book 4 of The Royals series by Louise Bay. It is a standalone, contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.
Tropes:
✔️ British hero
✔️ Workplace romance
✔️ Opposites attract/grumpy sunshine
✔️ Set in Mayfair London, UK (traveling the world through books)
➦ What I liked:
- Alex Knightly
- The UK law system on top of London backdrop
- The sexy times
➦ What I disliked:
From the start Violet's woe-is-me attitude rubbed me to wrong way when she states that she -- a magna cum laude from MIT -- only has the skills to be a waitress. She was a coward when faced with faced difficult life situations. She was overly dramatic and not objective. Which is ok, but the fact that she's a computer science geek makes her character development incongruent.
