Such a surprisingly great read! It’s a contemporary, slow burn rom-com, coming of age type book which isn’t something I gravitate to. Starts slow and depressing, but as you get to know the characters their relationships really make the story. I wasn’t sure how I’d like the romance in this book cause at the beginning they seem quite incompatible but by the end they just make sooo much sense. There were some elements that could have been done better but overall I really enjoyed the story by the end. Also while they don’t name the little sister in this book as being autistic it’s very clearly implied that she is and I really appreciate the representation of non verbal autism in this book.
