I like Sigurdardottir, because her criminal stories are surprising and present a realistic heroine: Thora Gudmundsdottir, divorced lawyer and mother of two children, always on the run, trying to get her things together. This mix of sympathetic investigators and a good plot ALWAYS does the trick with me.
