A well-written book that was not entirely for me. The narrative device used was off-putting and sometimes too in the nose. I understand why it's received acclaim but it's plot was trying to do too much. Trying to touch on the political change in South Africa over four decades while also giving us characters we don't really care too much about. It was a "meh" for me by the end.
