Annie Bot started out strong but ultimately missed the mark for me. The first two-thirds were great, but eventually the novel became too empathetic to the abusive partner. After reading about the sexual trauma Annie experiences, I didn't really want to empathize or even hear about her abuser. It was a pretty good book with a satisfying ending, it just wasn't the perfect fit for me. Definitely check out the trigger warnings, some scenes were pretty disturbing and extremely difficult to read.
