Mary Karr's writing is pure poetry. She's an ass kicking Texan with a drinking affinity who fell in love with a Harvard graduate with a Victorian like upbringing. To say they were star crossed would not be inaccurate.
She got lost in bad habits, but got out and found God along the way. Highly recommend.
