Soooo… I don’t really have anything to say about this book… this might very well be the worst review I’ve written yet, you’ve been warned lol.

Now it’s not that it was bad, it just wasn’t all that memorable. I really liked the MMC, but I couldn’t tell you what his name is now lol, and I’m too fuckin lazy to go look it up lmao. Also couldn’t tell you our FMC’s name, but she annoyed me a little bit. Not a lot, but enough that I was like, meh. It was well written and a good book for sure, it’s Rebecca after all, but it wasn’t as amazing as what I’ve come to expect from her. It was super predictable and I’d even say, juvenile almost? Our FMC is like twenty I think and that’s how the book felt… young and lacking any real depth. (Sorry if you’re twenty and reading this, but let’s be honest here lol).

I dunno, it’s just a well written McChicken for me. Kass was reading it at the same time as I was and she gave it a 5/5 - so maybe it’s just a me problem and coming off of Heartbreak Warfare that made it seem so mediocre lol.

I will definitely continue with the series though, because I’m one of those obsessive people who wants to read an authors entire backlist when I love their work lol. So, wish me luck and maybe the rest won’t be so McChickeny lol.

P.S. Okay so I did go back through my highlights and our FMC’s name is December, nicknamed Ember, which I really fucking liked so I don’t know why the hell I couldn’t remember that lol. And our guys name is Josh, which… well, meh lol. But I did really like him, he was the highlight of the book for me. That’s pretty much all I’ve got lol.
