This was a different take for Emily, but I really liked that she wrote a darker crime romance book!
Warning: It is VERY dark, so don't take those trigger warnings lightly. "Dare to Be Mine" was filled with heartwrenching trauma, an insane chemistry connection between Mitch and Penny, the right amount of suspense and the perfect fast-paced read. I enjoyed Emily's storytelling with this read and how she finds the right balance of spice and trauma, as well as gives you strong female characters. I hope she writes more crime/suspense romance books in the future because this was so good!
