Peace Like a River by Leif Enger

4.0

The very first chapter of this book caught my heart; when I reached the second chapter I turned back to the first chapter and read it again, just for the beauty of it. (Swede has a moment with a goose that is so well captured, I can't even put words to it.)

The second to last chapter of the book is out of swing with every other chapter in Peace Like a River, and it bothered me.

From the event the night that Davy goes to jail onwards, I had no idea how the book would end or how any closure could occur. It happens, but not in a way that I would ever expect.
