The Nearly-Weds by Jane Costello
2.0

Although this book had potential with the trope it opened up, it sadly didn't withstand to its potential.
I felt like there were not enough perspectives from other characters which would of broadened up the horizons for the audience as this book was far to vague, and yet at the same time managed to be far too descriptive in other areas.

I deeply disliked the fact that there were scenes which didn't add to the book as they were out of the blue with random newly introduced characters which we never see nor explore again, these scenes were also cut short which made this book sound much more like a diary than a balanced story as it had no depth within it.

Although the character of Ryan seemed to be the saving grace at the beginning, by the end it felt like he had no personality as it changed from one end of the extreme to the next.
There was no subtlety in any of the changes nor were they ones which would have suited his character which was quite disappointing as if the calm cold collective personality was stuck to then the relationship would have seemed more interesting with more smaller changes as it gives a slower yet much more interesting pase. Then again there were so little pages exploring their relationship by the end of it I wasn't invested in the slightest. I just wanted to finish this book and have it over and done with.

Overall it wasnt a bad read but I am critical as it could have been a much better with slight changes.
