I wanted to like this more than I do but after sitting with it for a couple days I realized that it just wasn't as strong of a story as I was expecting.
The character development for the main character is not shown in a meaningful way. Other characters make broad accusations of changes they see in her, but as a reader this kind of comes out of nowhere. I think this is because it is in first person, which has to be done a certain way for it to be good.
Also, the back of the book makes you expect another POV but you don't get that. The love mentioned between her and Autumn is barely explored. There's another character she has a much more interesting love affair with.
By the end it all felt super meaningless. It was an abrupt ending that just made me really sad.
It's a short read, if you like the story of Ariadne check this out.
