Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
1.25 stars Got to the 45% mark and dnfed.   Hallie has had a crush on Julian since high school and now they are living in the same town again. Julian is attracted to her and we get his on page fantasy and him pleasuring himself to this fantasy.  Meanwhile, Hallie is a 29 year old virgin who is writing him anonymous love letters and mainly concerned about a local wine bar that is on the verge of going out of business.
There is a serious imbalance of sexuality between Hallie and Julian that started to make me angry and uncomfortable. Nothing of Hallie's, albeit limited, sexuality is shown on page until her first encounter with Julian. Hallie feels that her presence in Julian's life is just a nuisance.   He lets her believe this. I just couldn't continue reading especially after their first sexual encounter where he talks dirty to her and then lets her leave thinking that she did something wrong. Not the kind of dynamic I find romantic, intriguing, or worthy of my time as a romantic at heart.
