Belinda and Mary are housegirls in Ghana, caring for an elderly couple who still have ties to friends in London. Belinda is the older, more sensible girl, who tries to help Mary shrug off her childish ways and when they see her patience, the London friends take her to live with them in London in hopes that she can use her sensible influence to calm their troubled daughter, Amma. I loved this story - laughed at their funny conversations and cried as the girls revealed their painful secrets.
