Falling Like Stars
by Emma Scott
Emma Scott never stops to amaze me with her writing. She dives into the depths of the human soul, highlighting topics we should discuss more. I welcome the feelings and the way she makes me reflect while facing issues I hadn't considered or I'd locked far away in the pits of my memory.
And let me tell you, Falling Like Stars is a beautiful gem and a much-needed shock to the system. It is a story about falling in love, healing, and growth. Jammed-packed with all the feels.
Rowan Walsh knows about loss. First, her dad died when she was 13, making her mom pretty much absent. At 15, she witnesses the tragic death of her boyfriend. For ten years, she has carried on the guilt, believing she doesn't deserve to be happy.
Zachary Butler is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. He is crazy talented, and he is also the nicest person. He seems to have it all, but the drama with her on-and-off girlfriend takes a toll.
While shooting his latest movie, Zach shares "a moment" with Rowan, who is a production assistant. Their connection is beautiful, far from perfect, but so real. It sparks the need to deal with their issues in different yet powerful ways.
Rowan and Zachary are supportive of each other. Yes, they make mistakes and say things they regret. However, they also learn and grow while being there with patience and understanding.
Falling Like Stars is the book I didn't know I needed, and I can only thank Emma Scott's brilliant writing for that!
