This book was not it for me, especially the beginning. It wasn’t the writing itself, it was more so the story. I think the gesture of not giving up on love and continuing to look for Eddie was supposed to be romantic but after a certain point in the story I was thinking- this is problematic, and I didn’t want to continue reading. The end was what kind of saved the book for me. Without saying much since I like to keep it spoiler-free, when 'the truth' came out it was unexpected. It made sense but was low key so twisted that it also felt wrong. I don't know, I think my first impressions had already tainted the book for me so despite liking the end I couldn’t get past not liking the beginning.
