The Little Liar by Mitch Albom
5.0
So different from all the other WWII novels. This was very refreshing because it showed such honesty about the war and its effects on these individuals without focusing so much on the abject horror of it. I think that's a really tough line to walk with writing about the Holocaust. How do we remember and show the truth of it, but still hold onto hope?
I also loved the narrator being Truth-- it reminded me of The Book Thief.
Highly recommend.
