This was such a lovely read. I will admit that I’m not a huge romance reader, probably for the same reason that I don’t watch many horror movies: people behave ridiculously. But Mara and Arjun were real and grounded characters, trying to reach their best selves. Their arc felt authentic and comforting, and never like a forced scenario. I’m pleased to have read something from this emerging author!
